Este post va dedicado a los futuros Erasmus en Milán.
Lo primero deciros que os vayáis preparando porque va a ser el mejor año de
vuestra vida o por lo menos uno de los mejores. Y lo segundo, y ya yendo más al
grano, que os preparéis para todo el lío de papeleos, pisos… Pero todo esfuerzo
lleva su recompensa.
First of all you must know this is go ing to be the best year in your life, or at least one of the better ones. So, get prepared for it! Next, be patient for burocracy, searching for flats, ... All this work will be compensated!
Una de las primeras cosas que os recomiendo hacer, es ir buscando pisos este verano. Con esto quiero decir, ir llamando a agencias, privados… y así cuando lleguéis a Milán sólo tener que poneros de acuerdo para verlo y decidir en cuál os queréis quedar. No lo dejéis para el final, para cuando ya estéis allí, porque entonces es cuando empiezan los agobios.

One of the first things to do from home is beginning the search for a place
to live in. Search through internet and phone agencies and private owners, so
that at your arrival in Milano you will
only have to meet them and choose the flat you prefer best!
Un detalle de los pisos, para que lo sepáis ya si todavía no lo sabéis: son caros. Las habitaciones compartidas van desde los 250 en adelante y las individuales desde los 500 hasta los 650 aproximadamente y dependiendo de la zona. Y hablando de zonas, a mí las que más me gustan son: zona de Loreto y Piola ( cercano al Politécnico) Sant Ambrogio ( Università Cattolica), Garibaldi ( zona de Corso Como), Montenapoleone…
Flats are expensive. Price for a shared room goes from 250€ to 400€ and individual rooms from 500€ to 650€, depending on the area. Talking about areas my favourites are: Loreto and Piola (near Politécnico) Sant Ambrogio ( Università Cattolica), Garibaldi (Corso Como area), Montenapoleone…
Una vez habiendo encontrado piso es muy importante
hacerse el Codice Fiscale, que será
como vuestro DNI italiano y os lo pedirán prácticamente para todo. Este código
debe hacerse en la Agenzia Entrate que se encuentra en Vía della Moscova 2,
parada de metro Turati. Se hace al instante, aunque suele haber largas colas
durante todo el mes de septiembre. En ese momento os darán un papel y semanas
después os llegará a vuestro domicilio italiano una tarjeta con el
correspondiente número.
Next thing after having chosen a flat is getting your Codice Fiscale, your personal identity number in Italy from now on, you will be asked for it several times. Agenzia Entrate, in Vía della Moscova 2, metro stop Turati, is the place were you have to ask for it, it is normally given instantly, but you will possibly find quite long queues in September. Then you will be given a paper and some weeks later your number will be sent to your italian address.

La tercera cosa que os toca hacer es la tarjeta italiana para el móvil. Los
Erasmus solemos unirnos a unas compañías telefónicas que se llaman Wind o Tim,
aunque si lo preferís también tenéis Vodafone y alguna más que ahora mismo no
recuerdo. Suponiendo que os hagáis de Tim o Wind, tendréis que elegir la tarifa
que más se adapte a vuestras necesidades ( yo era de Wind y tenía Internet
ilimitado y 300 minutos y mensajes para gastar con móviles Wind todos los meses,
por 15 euros). El dinero de cada mes se va recargando, como si de una tarjeta
de saldo se tratase.
Ya tenéis piso, Codice Fiscale y móvil. ¿ Lo siguiente? La tarjeta de ATM (Azienza Trasporti Milanesi), la tarjeta de transporte que os permitirá moveros por Milán. Esta tarjeta sirve para el metro, el tram y el autobús y se puede realizar en las principales estaciones de la ciudad, que son : Centrale, Garibaldi y Cadorna. Paciencia, y hacérosla cuento antes. Tendréis que soportar otra inmensa cola y esperar 10- 15 días para ir a recogerla. Esta tarjeta también es recargable, el primer día del mes deberéis abonar una cantidad de 17 euros correspondientes a la tarifa de estudiante.
The third thing to do is buying an Italian mobile card. You have to choose
the one that fits you best, Erasmus students frequently prefer WIND or TIM, and
then find which of the different rates you like. I chose Wind and had ilimited
Internet, 300minutes and 15€ per month to send messages to other Wind mobs.

What is the next thing after having a place to live, Codice Fiscale and
mobile? The ATM Card (Azienzia Transporti Milanesi) the card which allows you
to move around the area using subway, tram and buses. Try to ask for it as soon
as possible, you will have to stand in a large queue, and then wait 10 or 15
days to get it. It is rechargeable, the first time you charge it the cost is
not less than 17€, next times you charge as much as you want. Places where to
ask for it are the three main stations: Centrale, Garibaldi and Cadorna.
Ya casi está todo. Recordaros que no se os olvide pasar por vuestra universidad para firmar el certificado de llegada y mandarlo de vuelta a vuestra universidad de procedencia, además de cumplimentar el Learning Agreement. De esta manera agilizareis todo el proceso para la tramitación de las becas.
Now you have almost everything! Remember to go to your Italian university,
sign the Arrival Certificate and send it back to the university where you are
coming from, do not forget about filling the Learning Agreement, everything
will be easier with grants and "papers"!
Otra cosa muy importante y que no se me puede quedar en el tintero, el día del Welcome Day, las asociaciones que ayudan a los Erasmus os irán a dar una charla y os explicarán como funcionan. Entre estas asociaciones se encuentra la ESN, que al finalizar la charla os dará la opción de haceros su tarjeta ( 5 euros) y disfrutar desde este momento de descuentos en las discotecas, excursiones, viajes…
Last thing in this post is the Welcome Day. You will find there are several groups and associations created to help Erasmus students, they will be explaining you how they work. One of them is ESN who will give you the chance to buy their card and use it to enter discos, join trips, ... with discounts!

ResponderEliminarHola, soy española y dejo mi habitación a principios de febrero en Milán, está muy situada y conectada con las universidades de aquí; en Loreto, linea verde y roja la habitación es bastante grande de 6x3 metros y muy luminosa, con cama de matrimonio y un sofa cama para visitas, con escritorio y dos armarios , la casa tiene otras dos habitaciones más, y se comparte cocina nueva y baño. El precio es de 530 más 40 euros cada dos meses de extras.
