Vuelo en globo por el valle del Yarra, Global Ballooning

Como muchos de vosotros ya sabréis, he pasado los
Ășltimos cuatro meses viviendo en la ciudad de Melbourne. Siempre suelo marcarme
unos objetivos cuando me mudo o visito un nuevo lugar, y en este caso, al que
mĂĄs ganas tenĂa era al de volar en globo
aerostĂĄtico y gracias a Global Ballooning Australia pude hacerlo posible. Ellos fueron los encargados de
hacer mi experiencia Ășnica y especial.
La noche anterior me fui a dormir nerviosa, sabĂa que
lo que me esperaba el dĂa siguiente iba a ser mĂĄgico, y nada mĂĄs cerca de la
realidad. A las tres de la mañana sonaba mi despertador y recibĂa un mensaje de
confirmaciĂłn en el que me comunicaban que las condiciones iban a ser muy
favorables y que me pasarĂan a recoger por mi alojamiento para poner rumbo al valle del Yarra, donde comenzarĂa la
aventura.
Me dieron también la posibilidad de sobrevolar Melbourne,
sin embargo, considerĂ© mĂĄs interesantes las vistas sobre esta regiĂłn vinĂcola,
donde desde hace años se producen la mayor parte de vinos de alta calidad
australianos. En el microbĂșs me esperaban Bambi y Raine, a los que me gustarĂa
dar las gracias por hacer mi dĂa aĂșn mĂĄs especial. En los 60 minutos que dura
el viaje hasta la base de despegue, me fueron contando parte de la historia y
anécdotas del lugar. Eran tan sólo las cuatro de la mañana y a pesar de que el
sueño se apoderaba de mi, no podĂa dejar de escucharles.
En un abrir y cerrar de ojos, estĂĄbamos en la base
con todo listo para subirnos a la enorme cesta del globo aerostĂĄtico. AdemĂĄs,
tuve la suerte de que me tocase volar en el mĂĄs grande de Victoria, con una
capacidad aproximada de 20 personas. La siguiente hora pasĂł volando, y nunca
mejor dicho. La sensación de observar los viñedos del Yarra desde las alturas,
ver el rĂo de mismo nombre, el sistema montañoso de la zona y los otros globos
subiendo y bajando al compĂĄs del viento fue impresionante. ¿La guinda al
pastel? El sol saliendo de fondo y dando paso a un magnĂfico amanecer.
Y cuando parecĂa que nada podĂa ir mejor, y tras ayudar a recoger el globo, nos
llevaron a desayunar a los viñedos de Balgownie, uno de los mås emblemåticos en
el valle y cuyo origen se remonta al año 1969. Y es que… no me podĂa ir de
Yarra sin conocer alguna de sus viñas y mucho menos, sin probar alguno de sus
productos.

The night before, when I went to sleep, I was feeling so nervous, I knew
that what was awaiting me the next day was going to be magical, and nothing
could be closer from reality. At three o'clock in the morning my alarm clock
rang and I received a confirmation message in which they told me that the
conditions were going to be very favorable and that they would pick me up from
my accommodation to go to the Yarra Valley, where the adventure would
begin.
I was also given the possibility to fly over Melbourne, however, I chose
the views of this wine region, where for years most of Australia's high quality
wines have been produced. In the minibus, Bambi and Raine were waiting for me,
to whom I would like to thank for making my day even more special. In the 60
minutes that the trip lasts until the base of takeoff, they told me part of the
story and anecdotes of the place. It was only four o'clock in the morning and even
though I was still so sleepy, I could not stop listening to them.
In the blink of an eye, we were at the base with everything ready to get
into the huge basket of the hot air balloon. In addition, I consider my self so
lucky becauset I got to fly in the largest one in Victoria, with an approximate
capacity of 20 people. The next hour flew by, and never better said. The
feeling of observing the Yarra vineyards from the heights, seeing the river of
the same name, the mountainous system of the area and the other balloons rising
and falling to the beat of the wind was impressive.
The icing on the cake? The sun rising in the background and giving way to a
magnificent sunrise. And when it seemed
that nothing could go better, and after helping to pick up the balloon, we were
taken to breakfast at the Balgownie Vineyards, one of the most emblematic
vineyards in the valley and whose origin dates back to 1969.... I could not
leave Yarra without visiting any of their vineyards and much less, without
trying any of their products. Thanks to
